Ovronnaz offers two unmarked and unsecured ski touring areas.
The first, easy to access and without need of special notions, is that of Loutze. The routes start from the Tourbillon car park (Nordic center) and end at the Loutze buvette.
The second area, alpine and possibly very important avalanche hazard, makes it possible to connect the region of Euloi to the Dent de Morcles, via the Fenestral. This sector is joined by the use of the Jorasse and Col chairlifts (special rates).

For security reasons, ski touring is not allowed on ski slopes.
Ski touring routes are not protected from the dangers of the mountain (avalanches, falls, …)!

Safety instructions:
Ski tourers know that:

  • After each snowfall, avalanche triggers are made. They are therefore strictly forbidden to enter the entire ski area.
  • The grooming of the tracks is usually done at night. The damage gears are equipped with winches with a steel cable that can unfold over a length of more than 1000 m. These cables of a small diameter are not visible at night. Hikers will avoid moving on the ski area during the grooming.
